My baby is off to camp today. She has been to camp the last two years, but today she heads out for 5 days! That is the longest she has ever been away from me. So many thoughts and ideas have gone through my head...should I send her with a cell phone? What if something happens? What am I going to do with myself while she is gone?

But, she is growing up. 9 1/2 years old now. She knows how to reach me. She knows what to do and what not to do. She is definitely not a "risk taker" or "adrenaline junkie." Everything should be okay and its time to let go a little more. I can't stifle her development.
