Question

Source
Okay, so I am tired of all these blogs looking like everyone has a great life and everything is hunky dory. Life is not that way.

Today, I have a question to pose to you...

If a father is the first example of God/Christ that a child/girl encounters, then who/what is her husband? Historically, a husband takes the place of a father (and then some) after you get married. If, as I have often heard, a father is the first example of God that a girl encounters, then what about her husband?

Yes, yes....I know some of the scripture. At least those that are most often quoted:

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.

But that doesn't answer my question...is it possible that if one already has a distorted view of a father/daughter relationship and thus her relationship with God, where does a husband fall in there? Can he make it worse? Can a woman unknowingly put him in that place?

And, most importantly, how do you fix it? Her distorted view of God, that is?
