Tasty Tuesday: Quick Ortega Chili

Okay, so I have decided to make some changes to my blog. In the hopes of posting more frequently, there will be some post that (hopefully) I will keep up with every week.

The first of those posts being Tasty Tuesday.

I surprised the hubby yesterday by having this waiting in the crop pot when he got home.
* For those who don't know, the hubby often does the cooking in our house since he is often home first.

Quick Ortega Chili
2 pounds lean ground beef
4 (15-ounce) cans dark red kidney beans, drain only half of the cans
2 (16-ounce) jars salsa
1 1/2 cups water
1 (1.25-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1. Brown beef.
2. Stir beef, beans, salsa and seasoning mix into crop pot. Cook on lowest temperature. 

We opted to load our chili with sour cream and cheese and serve with tortilla chips. Yum, Yum!
